For this Rosy Check sweet stand, I began with a deep dive into the customer profile outlined in the design brief. Bows and ribbons emerged as key trending motifs that align perfectly with the target audience. My concept was to design a sweet stand where each tier appears to be delicately supported by ribbons, topped with a large sculptural bow for a whimsical, eye-catching finish. I also drew inspiration from the charming illustrations of Krissy Mast, aiming to incorporate illustrated petit fours on each plate in a similar artistic style. For materials, I envisioned using enameled steel, consistent with the finishes found throughout the MacKenzie-Childs housewares line.
